David Wilcox, AKA Kiloboq, is a vibe creator. From deep cuts to feel-good anthems he focuses on blending “right time, right place” tracks that bring energy and soul to the dance floor.

Brought up on a healthy diet of soul, rock, disco, jazz, blues and classic 90s brit-pop before the clubbing years where most weekends were spent finding new house, drum n bass and dubstep raves around London, his love for DJing started at the age of 10 making mixtapes recorded straight from the radio.

He first started playing at parties back in 2009, before working with agencies to play private events, weddings and festivals around the UK. After getting a full time job in events he took a break from playing live in 2013. That break ended in 2019, and now he performs across the UK and abroad, headlining his Soft Touch parties and bringing the upbeat and soulful sounds of disco and house from around the world to every party he plays. 

He describes his musical style as afro acid soul. A potent blend of deep house, tribal rhythms, acid bass lines and blues infused melodies.

“I think when you find that perfect track and you look out to see a wave of people just smiling and dancing, that’s what being a DJ is all about.”
